Gastronomy in the Universum®

As we all know, exploring is a hungry business, so in addition to a fun-packed day, we also have your nutritional needs in mind! In the permanent exhibition building there is a cosy new café with snacks for a quick bite and the special exhibition building boasts the KUBUS restaurant with various hot and cold meals available. Bon appétit!

KUBUS

The KUBUS restaurant can be found in the rust-coloured cube – the building which houses our temporary special exhibitions. There are places for around 150 diners inside and another 80 seats on the terrace with a view of the outdoor area, where you can while away the hours and relax. The menu features main meals of the day, delicious soups, fresh salads, vegetarian dishes and of course something more substantial for when you’re really hungry.
The KUBUS team also takes care of the catering for our special events such as the “Dinner im Dunkeln” (Dinner in the Dark) evenings and external events.
Of course, you are also welcome to bring your own food and drinks with you. However, we do ask that you only eat and drink on the ground floor and not in the exhibition areas.

Opening hours: The kitchen is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Café

The newly refurbished café in the belly of the silver whale offers seating for 60 guests to enjoy snacks, sandwiches, crêpes and drinks as well as their own packed lunches. Situated right in the centre of the hustle and bustle of our exhibition areas, the café is an oasis of tranquility and the perfect place to recharge your batteries.

CAMPUS

The CAMPUS restaurant can be found in the neighbouring ATLANTIC Hotel Universum. In cooperation, we offer you a great family special: a scrumptious breakfast in CAMPUS followed by a visit to the Universum®. We look forward to seeing you!
