At no time during our lives do we fantasize more than during childhood. Often children have imaginary friends, invent the most incredible stories or exaggerate on a massive scale. What can seem strange to adults is merely an expression of a child's intelligence. In the "magic phase" between the fourth and eighth year of life, children structure their environment by filling "knowledge gaps" creatively with their own ideas. On the dream path children embark on a fantasy journey that takes them through various holes and rooms.
