Useful Information
Below we have included some useful information for your visit to Universum® Bremen.
Information on Universum® Bremen can also be found in our
current flyer available in PDF format (1.5 MB).
Cloakroom
There are both supervised and unsupervised (free of charge) cloakrooms available. The charge for the supervised cloakroom is €1. A limited number of individual and group lockers (deposit of either €1 or €5) are also available.
Guided Tours
Guided tours in the traditional sense are not offered at Universum® Bremen.
Instead, visitors become active researchers and explorers themselves, and venture through the Expedition Mankind, Earth and Cosmos areas, the special exhibition and the EntdeckerPark alone.
Foreign-Language Explanations
All the explanatory texts on our interactive exhibits are also available in English.
Accessibility
When designing Universum® Bremen, care was taken to ensure that all the exhibition areas in the Science Center, SchauBox and EntdeckerPark could be accessed by everyone. In the Science Center and SchauBox, all the different levels can be accessed via lifts. A special walkthrough guide to the Science Center expeditions can be obtained at the ticket office.
The Turm der Lüfte is unfortunately only accessible via a stairway.
Food
Snacks and drinks are on offer at Café Jonas in the Science Center. In the Schaubox's Kubus restaurant you can get pasta, pizza, antipasti and more. You can also bring your own meals. In the Science Center and SchauBox, food may only be consumed on the ground floor and not in the exhibition areas.
Note for Kindergartens and Schools
If arriving by bus, we recommend that you leave the things you don't need on the bus.
Dogs
Dogs are unfortunately not allowed at Universum® Bremen.
